Submit your In-Kind Contributions for Q4 by October 20th

The deadline for submitting Q4 in-kind contributions is rapidly approaching! AERC Members are required to document their time and materials put into the development of AERC so that AERC can meet its cost-share obligations with DOE. Please upload your Q4 contributions in Asana by October 20th, 2015.

AERC New Board of Directors Will Hold First Meeting in November

AERC’s newly elected Board of Directors will hold their first meeting in Washington, DC on Monday, November 16th. The meeting precedes the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, which will be attended by several AERC members and AERC staff. If you have not already done so, please contact AERC staff if you are planning on attending Greenbuild.


Help AERC Recruit New Members

Are you attending any window attachments or energy efficiency conferences, tradeshows or events before the end of 2015? AERC is counting on members to help connect AERC staff with their network in order to strengthen AERC’s membership base. Send AERC staff a list of any conferences or events are you are through the end of the year, and staff will provide you with relevant recruitment materials to take with you and distribute at the event.


Committee, Working Group and Sub-Committee Updates

­-The Residential Label Working Group, led by Jeremy Nyboer (Levelor) is developing the initial prototypes of the AERC residential product label.
­-The Website-Calculator Working Group, led by Stacy Lambright (Hunter Douglas), has been reviewing existing product qualification/certification sites to generate ideas for the AERC Certified Products Website.
­-Commercialization Working Group has been generating ideas for a commercialization strategy for the commercial sector, including outreach to relevant potential user groups (architects, interior designers, etc.).
­-Technical Committee is in the process of reviewing a draft of the Technical Procedures prepared by Tom Culp.
-The Materials Properties Sub-Committee has been meeting regularly to discuss and identify the impact of metrics on energy performance for different materials types.
